1969 IOM TT And thruxton 500 mile race

Hi thanks for the add.
Has anyone got any photos or info on these 2 bikes,
Martin carney  7th place 1969 iom tt,
ray night 5th place 1969 thruxton 500 mile race
And rex avery riding no 47 thruxton500
Any photos or info would be appreciate

Martin Carney was the first person to race a Trident around the Mountain Course and I was the last. (in the 2017 Classic TT)

Nice shot that Andy, shame those bikes have gone to pave the way for the pros on the newer bikes as great as they are to watch. The way the Classic TT goes will be very interesting in the next few years.

Hi Simon, I know things change but I can't help feeling a bit sad that the 'true' classics are being pushed out of racing. I'd love to see a proper F750 race around the TT course again but I doubt that will ever happen now, there's not enough reliable bikes and they're not fast enough for the Classic TT organisers ethos. Having said that I still fulfilled a lifelong ambition to race a Rob North Trident around the TT course, so I suppose I can't complain too much!

Well without K4s there wouldn't be any classic 350 racing, and also the old F750 class was also based on road bikes such as the Commando, Trident, Rocket 3, Suzuki GT750 and Kawasaki H2. Let's hope we get back to normal next year.

I raced a Velocette Venom in the Thruxton 500 Miler in 1969. We were pitted next to an H1 Kawasaki triple. The old and the new.
Didn't see any K4's there or Nigel Collier
