This the first layout when I started making my patterns.

Do you have a chassis or are you only interested in the engine?

Your patterns don't look far off, just a bit of prettying and some Resolan.
I wouldn't worry to much about you draft angles etc nor making relief this can all be done in the sand when you start moulding up. When moulding you can also "knock in" some shrinkage.

How are you running your rods Forked (Harley) or parallel Ducati?

andy ,the patterns are alot further along now but waiting yo get allthe expensive bits together before having castinsgs made.nearly there.would like to build complete bike eventualy.hope to fit in seeley type frame eventualy.ityped up a reply for ken explaining what i wanted to do and how but as i posted itsite logged me out so i will have to do that all over again.

this project is moving slowly at present due to other commitments and projects,am making some paddock starters and anew project to make a contra rotating blades helicopter that is controlled just like steering a car,with a steering wheel .the idea being to build small personal helicopters that are easy to fly,if i can get one built and passed by the civil air craft authority,the crmc could hold helicopter races,haha,

paul,hope to have starter finished in next two weeks,the drive to the wheel is via a go kart wheel and a battery operated geared starter motor.will post picture when done,hope to sell you all personal helicopters so you can race to circuits and have a p???up nickwhilst the wife drives the bikes to the circuit in the van

have obtain unmachined rocker castings enough for ten exhaust and inlet rockers am buying second cam and cam verniers,just a few bits needed then,get them of my mate mick,got to get crankcase castings and timing covers made then start machining and building engine.

have widened crankcases by 30mm and obtained moto guzzi crankshaft and rods and bearing housing with main bearings,this is one piece crank with same stroke as the  g50 matchless ,extra width allows more room for front cylinder carb and rear cylinder exhaust .main bearings hall metal not roller bearings,new half timing pinion gear made to fit crank,crank modified to do job.allows for a belt drive pulley to be fitted where guzzi clutch flywheel bolted on.slowly getting there.
